科    名：樟科(Lauraceae)
日    照：全日照
水    份：每1~3日澆水一次。
繁殖法：扦插、播種、壓條。
特    性：小喬木或灌木狀，喜強光直射。
               是調味料月桂葉的來源。
               月桂樹高50~60英呎，樹皮光滑呈橄欖綠或略帶紅棕色。葉片很厚。月桂的果實像葡萄呈深紫色。
用    途：室內、陽台觀葉盆栽。
               月桂的葉常被使用在西洋或泰式料理中，不管是燉煮、湯品、泡菜、入茶，都倍具獨特迷人的香氣，也具有防腐、助消化的效果；葉片可置於衣櫃或米桶中防蟲。
