特性
一年生草本植物，高約80公分，株型直立，分枝性佳。深綠色羽狀葉；繖型花序，開黃色小花；種子扁橢圓形、淡棕色。葉和種子都具濃郁的香味，是相當普遍的香辛調味料，生長快速，栽培容易。

栽培要點
“蒔蘿”不喜移植，種子直播，種子發芽需光，不可覆蓋，保持濕潤，約10天開始發芽，發芽後讓幼苗盡速接受陽光，以免徒長。喜冷涼、全日照環境，在富含有機質、濕潤而排水良好的微酸性土壤中生長最佳。植株高大，宜防風，避免倒伏。施肥：種植前酌量施用“滿地王有機肥”混入土壤中作基肥；生育期施用營養肥如“葉綠精”，開花期施用“開花精”等開花肥。

用途
新鮮的葉子或種子可增添湯、沙拉、乳酪、蛋、魚、羊肉、豬肉、雞鴨肉、蔬菜、煮蘋果、醋、酸黃瓜、調味汁、麵包…等的風味。鮮花可做花束；乾燥花可做花環和其他手工藝品。飯後嚼食種子，可幫助消化、使口氣清新。
