Description
科    名：唇形花科(Labiatae)
日    照：全日照
水    份：每1~3日澆水一次。
繁殖法：播種、分株。
特    性：為一年至多年生草本植物，高約30~40公分。
               天鵝絨似的橢圓型葉片，葉與花都具甜香辣味；花可食，與「奧樂崗」、「羅勒」同為義大利菜的三大主要香辛調味料。
用    途：戶外、庭院、陽台香藥草盆栽。
               孕婦避免使用於醫療用途。
               葉片曬乾後可做薰香材料、泡澡。
               乾燥的花可做花環、手工藝品、薰香材料等。
               新鮮的葉比「奧樂崗」葉更為香甜，普遍用於沙拉、乳酪、魚、牛肉、豬肉、香腸、番茄、馬鈴薯、湯、奶油、醋汁…等烹調；亦可擦拭家具，使其光亮。
